Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published nor has it been submitted to consideration by any other journal.
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect format.
  • Whenever possible, URLs addresses are provided for reference.
  • The text is single-spaced; 11 point font size; Italic is used instead of underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures and charts are placed in the appropriate places in the text, rather than at the end.
  • The text satisfies the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Authors Guidelines, which appear in About the Journal.
  • If the item is being mailed to a section of the journal being peer reviewed, the instructions in Ensure an Anonymous Evaluation, must be ensured to be followed.

Author Guidelines

For the nomination of Newman Business Review, they must comply with the following indications:

The editorial committee of the Newman Business Review reserves the right to print, reproduce all or part of the material, as well as accept or reject it.

Likewise, it reserves the right to make any editorial changes it deems appropriate. In such case, the author will receive in writing the recommendations of the evaluators. If you accept them, you must deliver the article with the suggested adjustments within the dates set by the journal to guarantee its publication within the programmed number.

The article postulated for publication must be original, unpublished and has not been published or submitted to publication in other journals. The document must be sent to Online Sending or make inquiries to the e-mail: nbr@neumann.edu.pe

Along with the sending of the document, the authors and collaborators must send the Authorized Patrimonial Rights Form duly completed and signed.

Before submitting the document to peer review, a first filter review is carried out, where it will be identified that the document: respects the requirement requested in the instructions for authors, and does not have problems of plagiarism or duplicate publication. Otherwise, the document will be rejected.

The works must be sent in the following formats: LibreOffice (.odt), MS-Office XP (.doc) or rich text (.rtf).

Instructions:

  • The articles should include a summary in Spanish and also in English.
  • The font used will be Arial size 12.
  • The line spacing of the document will be 1.5 lines
  • Italics are used instead of underlining (except for URLs)
  • The wording of the article will refer to the manual of the APA system.
  • The article should contain: the full name of the author, institution he represents, title and email.

The article should be sent to the e-mail (nbr@neumann.edu.pe) employee's magazine format (maximum 20 pages). The article must be sent along with a letter to the editor stating that the work is original and has not been published or submitted to other journals, that is why the authors involved in the work agree to submit it to the review Newman Business Review.


TITLE:

The title of the work must be original and informative, it contains the name of the author, academic fixation.


SUMMARY:

The extension of the abstract should not exceed 250 words, it should allow to identify the basic aspect of the report quickly and accurately, including in an orderly way: objectives, methodology and research results.

KEYWORDS:

3 to 6 keywords or descriptors should be included.

ABSTRACT:

The abstract is included in English.

1 ARTICLE STRUCTURE

The articles include the following sections: Abstract, abstract, introduction, method, results, comments, conclusions and bibliography.

1.1 Introduction

It should be well documented (more than 60% of citations should refer to current literature) and contain an outline of the problem or subject of study, background and theoretical foundation. The objectives of the research should be clearly stated.

1.2 Bibliographic Review

This section summarizes the state of the art in the subject, including current developments, controversies and / or advances. It is important to select which material to include and organize in a useful, interesting and critical way.

1.3 Methodology

It must be specified in sufficient detail so that the research can be reproduced.

1.4 Development / Analysis / Results

Results should be presented in a clear and concise manner. In this section, the results obtained will not be shown again, but the most outstanding will be highlighted, based on similar studies that complement those obtained.

1.5 Conclusions

In this section the main conclusions of the study will be offered, depending on the data obtained and the discussion.

1.6 Bibliography

References should conform to the latest American Psychological Association (APA) guidelines http://www.apastyle.org/manual/index.aspx. All references cited in the manuscript should appear in the list of references and vice versa.

1.7 Appendices

The appendices include enlarging material or considered relevant but not necessary to place in the body of the text. Thus, certain theoretical developments, demonstrations of theorems, databases (statistical or of other nature), original survey designs, failed test results, long paragraphs of texts of authors of which only an extract can be cited, among others

TABLES AND FIGURES

Do not forget to place the following

  • Number and name of the table or chart.
  • Use consistent notation.
  • Name of rows and columns in case of tables, and names of the axes in the case of graphs.
  • Source (or "own elaboration based on ...").
  • Note clarification if necessary (eg "series based on provisional data").
  • Mention in the text the table or graph, in the place that corresponds to its location

FOOTNOTES

They are used in the following cases:

  • To reproduce an appointment of an author, when for its length or another reason has not been placed in the body of the text.
  • To clarify explanatory notes or additional comments that are not part of the main argument, but it is considered important to include.
BIBLIOGRAPHIC QUOTES

When quoting verbatim the work of another author, the following rules must be observed:

  • If the quotation has less than forty words, it must be included within the paragraph and in quotes "...".
  • If the quotation has forty words or more, it should be included as a separate paragraph, without quotes, and with indentation to the right and left.
  • If the appointment is in a language other than the language of the paper, it must be translated and, if necessary, footnote with original citation.
  • It should not be forgotten to include the author's last name, date of publication and page number where the quote appears. For example: (D'Alessio, 2005: 268), or (D'Alessio, 2005, p.268).
