Peer Review Process

Articles submitted to the Newman Business Review are subjected to a rigorous evaluation by academic peers, who are experts in Management, Economics and Business, under the double-blind review modality. This process guarantees the impartiality and quality of the evaluations.

Arbitration process:

1: Preliminary Review: The editor verifies that the article complies with the journal's policies and guidelines for authors. Articles that meet the requirements are reviewed by the editorial committee to evaluate their quality. Those that qualify as research or review are sent to external evaluators.

2: Assignment of Peer Reviewers: The article is sent confidentially and anonymously to two peer reviewers who are experts in the field. The peer reviewers have a period of three weeks to issue their opinion, which will be considered by the journal's editors. The process is double-blind: neither the reviewers nor the authors know the identity of the other.

3: Corrections by Authors: Authors will receive the reviewers' suggestions and will have two weeks to send the requested corrections.

4: Final Decision: If both reviewers approve the article, the editorial committee proceeds to publication. In case of a positive and a negative evaluation, a third reviewer will be assigned to make the final decision.

Plagiarism Checker Tool

Prior to the submission of the text for peer review, the document will be submitted to a content similarity and plagiarism verification tool.
