Abstract

People, organizations and societies are exposed to the crisis, which represents the conditions under which we face the impact and the effects that it produces once the crisis is triggered. When we refer to a crisis, we must focus on dimensioning the various events, negative unforeseen events, threats, natural, social, political and economic phenomena that could alter our usual normality. Whether we are referring to an event as unusual as it is unprecedented, it will require managers and organizations in charge of making decisions, not structures that allow events to be addressed considering two key elements: damage control and responsiveness. Finally, one of the elements addressed is that of communication management by an organization, as a fundamental tool to reduce the impacts of crises, the adequate management of information to the public, the strategies to be implemented in the containment and recovery phases, up to their valuable contribution in solving and overcoming the crisis.
